Peotone

Peotone is where Rife Realty keeps its office, and it is the kind of town people assume stopped existing: a working downtown, a grain-elevator skyline, and the Will County Fairgrounds, which fill up every summer when the county fair comes home.

The school district, Peotone 207-U, draws from the village and the farm townships around it, including Green Garden, and it is a genuine reason families give for moving here.

Housing splits between in-town blocks, newer subdivisions on the edges, and acreage outside the village limits, which is a range most towns this size cannot offer.
